Swimming pool

I was board waiting arround, so I decided to work out how much dueterium I produce every hour.
If I take one unit in space project to be 1kg, then I am producing about 5 Olimpic-sized swimming pools full of dueterium every hour. I also worked out that my maximum dueterium storage is exactly 184 swimming pools (460000 m3), enough to fill Manchester about 4 times.

Everything except who you attack is very automatic. Thats why its such a simple game. You dont get a choice of weapons. Personally I think in order to strengthen up faster you want to choose battles you loose, not win. But yah, I have seen people half another persons lvl kick thier butt, but then again, it usually is the other way around.

recyclers in action
i have been trying diffrent ways of sending out my recyclers and it seems to me that if i break them into 4 groops of 2 and send them to diffrent astroids i end up getting more resources than sending all 8 in one groop to a single astroid can anyone confirm or proove it wrong ? just curious

I don't think you can actually prove it, but it makes sense to me.
If you send all 8 to one asteroid, they may harvest all of it, but not fill up all 8. If you send 2 to an asteroid, they probably won't harvest it all, but will all return full.

Re: recyclers in action
Total all the resources of the asteroid.
Send 1 recycler for every 4000 resources.
For example if one had:
3000 metal
3000 crystal
7000 Tritium
The total would be 13000
13000 / 4000 = 3.25
So I would send 3 recyclers who would collect almost half of the total resources of the asteroid.
If I sent 4 I would only get 1500 Metal, 1500 Crystal and 3500 Tritium, for a total of 6500 resources, which is below the max capacity of 4 recyclers at 8000 resources.

just tried out your theory here ar the the reports
Time: 06/19/09 06:30:38 PM
Your recycling troops have reached the comet.
Findings include: 3247 metal, 3606 crystal and 5802 tritium.
94 metal, 104 crystal and 168 tritium were harvested.
i sent 6 ships on this one

Re: recyclers in action
The first one someone got there just a bit before you, so they'd already taken most of the available resources.
The second was max resources your recyclers could carry, so like good mine.

Re: recyclers in action
yeah i was thinking prety much the same thing so i don't see any sence in sending out big groops of recyclers instead send out lots of smaller groops you'll end up getting more

Re: recyclers in action
Yeah, good policy, don't keep all your eggs in one basket. But if you have a heap of recyclers, you can only have 20 max fleet spots. So it might be a good idea to look for bigger bounty at that point.

Re: recyclers in action
but then transports are better there. granted titan small transports only carry 800 resorces as apposed to a recycler carrying 2k. you can also get to planets and back 2-4 times faster with a transport then you can a recycler, plus the transports are cheeper.

Yeah, by that point I meant keep your fleet spots for valuable things like raiding.
