Colonization

OK......So as I posted in my status thread I'll soon have the ability to construct drop ships and thus I need advice on what planet I should colonize.

I have already have a "type" picked out that will meet my needs but I am wondering if I should settle a planet near my own world or if I should go out and settle a planet a fair distance away from my HQ?

A second question I have is this: A Drop Ship consumes 1,000 Energy. If your Transmitter can not support send that kind of Energy out do you just have tough luck and need to upgrade your Transmitter and AEC or is there another way to do it?

It's up to you whether you settle close or far away, there a advantages to both.

If you settle close to your homeworld, you can send supplies quickly to help get it built up faster.

If you settle far away it will take longer to trade between worlds, but you will be able to raid/harvest into new areas easier, you won't be competing with you self


I don't know anything about the transmitter, so can't help you there.

yes you have to upgrade your transmitter i had the same thing happen and couldn't build my drop ship till my transmitter was able to send out that much power

tou will also have to set the trans mitter to send that power before you can build the drop ship as well
