Resorce production

I've been looking at my resource production, and noticed that it's actually quite small from my mines. Most of my stuff comes from raiding.

I'm just wondering if this is because I've put more effort into my military rather than my economy, or is the case for everyone?

The reason for me thinking of this is, if I'm raiding the same people over and over again, where are they getting there resources?

they have slow resorce build as well. but if you raid several different people a day, your give each of there resorces a chance to build up. Currently I am trying to raid higher lvl xens then the newbies around me, in other words they may have the capacity to build ships as well.

I've started raiding higher level people as well. I'm sending three groups of raiders against about 4 different planets, sending them back out when they get home. I've yet to raid them and get little out of it.

curently my mines are pulling in 550+ / hour for each type of mine they cost little to up grade and i do at least one a day also if the people you are raiding have plenty of resource caches you won't get anything from them
